Dagmar Breznoscakova, MD, PhD (Psychiatry) is a researcher at the Department of Social and Behavioural Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, UPJS. She is also the Vice-president of Slovak Psychiatric Association, the CPT member Council of Europe in respect of Slovak Republic and governmental expert for Mental Health of Slovak Ministry of Health for European Commission. Since 2012 she has been the chairwoman of the Section of Psychopharmacology Slovak Psychiatric Association, Slovak Medical Association. She is registered in the List of Experts of the Ministry of Justice SR and has since worked as court expert in psychiatry. She successfully completed a 4.5 year European training in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy. Her main research interests are in affective and anxiety disorders, particularly bipolar disorder, comorbidity of mental disorders, psychosomatic connections and specifically on gender issues. She is a (co)author of over 150 publication outputs. She holds prizes for the best original work for the journal Psychiatry practice.
