Miriam Polanova

Miriam Polanova (born: Gavelova, 1976) graduated in 2000 from the Medical Faculty at PJ Safarik University in Kosice as a medical doctor, general medicine. In August 2000 she started to work at the Neurology department of the Railway Hospital in Kosice, and after three years of practice finished her specialization in neurology. Since 2002, she has been a PhD student at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. Her fields of interest are multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology. In the years 2005-2009 she has been on maternity leave. Currently, she works in private practice as a neurologist and also as a researcher at the Department of Social and Behavioural Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, UPJS.
